Extraordinary is a rapidly growing startup offering a payments card and platform that helps businesses manage and track non-payroll employee costs.  The employee app gives users an easy way to access benefits across categories such as health, travel, clothing, and work-from-home expenses, replacing traditional reimbursement processes with a simple and modern experience.

Extraordinary needed an employee-facing mobile app that felt as easy and familiar as a banking app while also expressing their colourful and unique brand.  The challenge was to design a product that balanced playfulness with clarity, ensuring users could confidently view and spend their allocated benefits.

We designed the Extraordinary App to deliver a clean and intuitive experience with a touch of fun and excitement.  Users can quickly see available account balances across benefit categories, view insights into their spending habits, and access both physical and virtual card details to start spending immediately.  Complete account control was also built in, allowing users to adjust security and notification settings, download statements, and even create personal accounts that they can top up and manage themselves.  Motion was introduced to transform what could feel like a boring finance and banking product into something fun and exciting, helping engage users.  The result is a product that combines the familiarity of a banking app with the excitement and fun of the extraordinary brand.
